Whitehorse

Bill Blankinship, Steve Brochied and I hike to Lone Tree Pass on Whitehorses Mountain near the town of Darrington in Snohomish County Lunch break after 1500 feet of elevation gain. We are in no hurry! Steve and Bill as we leave the forest and head for the only lone tree, we see, for which the pass is named
We reach the pass in good time - less than 1000 feet per hour, rest look around and descend. Bill set the downhill pace and walked us into the dirt!

Misc scenery below. Zion National Park is a phenomenal place to visit, hike, climb, photograph, or whatever! The adjacen small town of Springdale is an added treat with pleasant people, good restaurants and great great micro brew!
